I had my first book signing on Saturday at Bethany Book Room for the paperback release of Sapphire Ice. It was so much fun. I was incredibly apprehensive leading up to it, but I am not a “small talk” kind of person. I’m great in a chat room or an instant message window – but not at networking and socializing. So, going into it was a little bit nerve wracking. Until that morning when I sought strength and found this verse:
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
Then I remembered: this isn’t about ME. This is about HIM.
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
And, that relaxed me and put a smile on my face.
I chit-chatted, met fans, made new friends, and signed books.
SO many friends and family members came to see me.
This is my cover artist, Debi Warford. She is amazing. I have really, really enjoyed working with her and getting to know her. Of course, she also designed and created my Doctor Who tea canister, so it’s hard not to love her.
I feel like God has really just set me on this path and paved the way for releasing these books. I pray that they’re a blessing to everyone who is reading them.
